Method

Directions
  1. Prepare the dough by bringing your pizza dough to room temperature, which typically takes about 30 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, and any cooked meats of your choice with fresh spinach, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll the pizza dough out to about ¼-inch thickness.
  4. Cut the rolled-out dough into circles approximately 6-8 inches in diameter.
  5. Place a generous scoop of the prepared filling on one half of each dough circle, about 2-3 tablespoons.
  6. Gently fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape and seal the edges.
  7. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes and brush the tops of the calzones with beaten egg.
  8. Arrange the calzones in the air fryer in a single layer and cook for 10-15 minutes.
  9. Check for doneness by ensuring the filling is bubbly and the dough is golden brown.
  10. Once cooked, let the calzones cool for about 5 minutes and serve with marinara sauce.
