  • 1 teaspoon Sugar Can use honey instead.

For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions Sliced.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro Optional.
  • 1 Red chili Sliced, optional.
  • 2 Lime wedges For serving.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Prepare all your ingredients: julienne fresh ginger, slice green onions, snip cilantro, and cut lime into wedges.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix salt, white pepper, and cornstarch. Pat tilapia fillets dry and coat with the mixture.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk soy sauce, ginger, water, sesame oil, vinegar, and sugar. Set aside.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the coated fillets for about 3 minutes on each side.
  5. Pour the sauce over the fish, reduce heat, and simmer for 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with green onions, cilantro, red chili, and serve with lime wedges.
