  • 6 rolls Italian sub rolls Substitute with hoagie or baguette for variety.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Melted.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
For the Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Omit for a milder experience.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Fillings
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced salami
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced ham
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced pepperoni
For the Cheeses
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced mozzarella cheese
  • 4 ounces deli-sliced provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
For the Veggies
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers Sliced.
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup banana peppers Sliced.
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the Italian sub rolls in half lengthwise and place cut side up on a baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, melt the unsalted butter and mix in garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Brush the seasoned butter mixture on the cut sides of the rolls.
  5. Layer the fillings starting with salami, followed by ham and pepperoni.
  6. Add mozzarella and provolone cheese on top of the meats.
  7. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese, followed by roasted red peppers, black olives, banana peppers, and fresh basil leaves.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into portions.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy with a salad or fries.
