  • 1 jar Mixed Berry Preserves or substitute with another favorite
For the Finish
  • 1 large Egg for wash
  • 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp Butter melted
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract optional

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 10x14 inches.
  3. Spread a layer of mixed berry preserves over the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
  4. Mix the melted butter with vanilla extract and brush over the berry preserves.
  5. Cut the pastry into 8 equal strips, twist each strip several times, and place on the baking sheet.
  6. Apply the egg wash to each twist and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown, then cool for 5 minutes before serving.
