  1. Prepare Cherries: Wash and pit the fresh dark cherries. If using frozen cherries, let them thaw for 10-15 minutes for easier blending.
  2. Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the cherries, water, and lemon juice. Blend on high for 30-45 seconds until smooth.
  3. Sweeten the Mixture: Taste the blend and add your choice of sweetener as needed, then blend briefly to incorporate.
  4. Freeze the Mixture: Pour the mixture into an airtight container and freeze for a minimum of 24 hours.
  5. Process in Ninja Creami: Let the frozen mixture sit for 5 minutes, then process in the Ninja Creami using the 'Sorbet' function until creamy.
  6. Adjust Texture as Needed: If the sorbet is crumbly, use the 'Mix-In' function or repeat the 'Sorbet' cycle until desired consistency.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Scoop the sorbet into bowls and enjoy. Optionally top with coconut whipped topping and fresh mint.
