  • 1 cup Orzo Pasta gluten-free orzo available
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 12 ounces Chicken Sausage substitute with turkey or plant-based sausage
  • 2 cups Broccoli Florets
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 3 cups Chicken Broth use vegetable broth for vegetarian option
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley for garnish

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large pot, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and heat it over medium heat until shimmering, which takes about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add sliced chicken sausage to the pot, stirring occasionally as it cooks for about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Introduce broccoli florets into the pot, sautéing them for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour in the orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, stirring well to combine. Bring everything to a boil.
  6. Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover the pot, and let it cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Once the orzo is cooked to perfection, remove the pot from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it’s completely melted.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
