- In a large pot, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and heat it over medium heat until shimmering, which takes about 1-2 minutes.
- Add sliced chicken sausage to the pot, stirring occasionally as it cooks for about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Introduce broccoli florets into the pot, sautéing them for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, stirring well to combine. Bring everything to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover the pot, and let it cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the orzo is cooked to perfection, remove the pot from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it’s completely melted.
- Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
