- Prepare the pan by lining an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over low heat in a large pot.
- Add in 6 cups of mini marshmallows to the melted butter and stir until fully melted.
- Mix in ½ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until blended.
- Remove the pot from heat and stir in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips until fully melted.
- Gently fold in 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan, pressing down gently to spread evenly.
- Allow the treats to set at room temperature for about 1 hour before cutting into squares.
