Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package directions for about 8-10 minutes until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the cooking water before draining.
  2. Sauté Chicken: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat, then add diced chicken breast seasoned with salt and pepper. Cook for about 6-8 minutes until golden brown, then remove from skillet.
  3. Create Sauce: In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of butter, then stir in minced garlic and chopped onion, sautéing for 3-4 minutes until onion is translucent.
  4. Add Cream & Broth: Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of chicken broth. Stir to combine, season with Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Combine: Return cooked chicken to the skillet with drained pasta. Toss together, adding reserved pasta water until desired sauce consistency is reached.
