Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Peel and thinly slice the festkochende Kartoffeln into 2-3mm thick rounds.
  3. In a large pan over medium heat, combine the sliced potatoes, milk, and Kochsahne. Cook for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Stir in minced garlic, chopped rosemary, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a prepared baking dish and sprinkle the top with grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for approximately 30 minutes, until bubbly and golden-brown.
  7. Broil for the last 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness, then let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Scoop out servings and enjoy the creamy layers beneath the golden crust.
