Step-by-Step Instructions for Spicy Jalapeño Popper Chicken Soup
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add 1 diced medium onion and sauté for about 5 minutes until translucent.
- Stir in 3 minced garlic cloves and 2 diced jalapeños. Sauté for an additional 2 minutes.
- Add 1 pound of chicken breasts and pour in 4 cups of chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove the chicken, shred it, and return it to the pot.
- Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 teaspoon of ground cumin, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
