  • 2 tablespoons Thai Tea Mix Easily found in Asian markets or online
  • 1 cup Whole Milk Swap with coconut milk for dairy-free
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream Use dairy-free whipped topping if needed
  • 1 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk Opt for sweetened coconut cream for less sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Paste or Extract Pure vanilla extract works wonderfully as a substitute
Optional Garnish
  • 1 cup Coconut Flakes Unsweetened, toasted; skip for smoother finish

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Electric mixer
  • freezer-safe container

Method

Creamy No Churn Thai Tea Ice Cream
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the Thai tea mix, whole milk, and half a cup of heavy cream over medium-low heat. Stir gently as the mixture warms for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Once the tea has steeped and is aromatic, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly for about 2 minutes. Strain the mixture into a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the strained tea mixture, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  4. In a chilled bowl, whip the remaining heavy cream with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form, approximately 3-4 minutes.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the tea mixture in batches until combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a freezer-safe container, cover tightly, and freeze for at least 8 hours or overnight.
  7. When ready to serve, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before scooping.
