  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour Or gluten-free flour
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs Regular breadcrumbs can be substituted
For the Coating
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
For Air Frying
  • 1 spray Cooking Spray
For Dipping (Optional)
  • Dipping Sauce Caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt recommended

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash and dry the apples. Peel if desired, and slice each apple into 1/2-inch wedges, removing cores and seeds.
  2. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar until blended.
  3. Organize a breading station with bowls of flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of panko breadcrumbs and half the cinnamon-sugar.
  4. Dredge apple slices in flour, dip in eggs and coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  6. Place coated slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray lightly with cooking spray and cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  7. Remove from air fryer, sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar, and serve hot with dipping sauces.
