Ingredients
  

For the Beef
  • 1 pound Beef Strips Flank steak or sirloin
For the Rice
  • 1 cup Rice Steamed fluffy rice
For the Batter
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup Flour
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Chili Sauce Sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
For Aromatics
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 thumb-sized piece Ginger Minced

Method
 

Directions
  1. Cook the Rice by rinsing 1 cup of rice and simmering it with 2 cups of water for 15-20 minutes until soft.
  2. Prepare the Beef Batter by mixing equal parts cornstarch and flour and coating the beef strips thoroughly.
  3. Fry the Beef in hot oil for 4-5 minutes until golden brown, then drain on a paper towel.
  4. Sauté Aromatics by cooking garlic and ginger in the same pan for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Make the Sauce by adding sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and sugar to the pan, then cook until thickened.
  6. Combine Beef and Sauce by tossing the crispy beef in the sauce for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve by spooning fluffy rice onto plates and topping with the crispy beef, garnishing as desired.
