Preparing the Sandwich
- Begin by preheating your toaster or skillet to medium heat. Use thick-cut bread for an irresistible crunch; toast until golden brown, about 3–4 minutes per side in a skillet. If using a toaster, toast the slices until crispy and lightly browned. Set the toasted bread aside on a cutting board while you prepare the other ingredients.
- In a cast iron skillet, cook the smoked bacon over medium heat for about 6–8 minutes, flipping occasionally until crispy and browned. Once ready, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease, reserving about a tablespoon of the bacon fat in the skillet.
- While the bacon cooks, pat the lettuce and ripe tomatoes dry with paper towels to prevent sogginess. Thinly slice the tomatoes, ensuring even cuts for beautiful layering.
- Start the assembly by spreading a generous layer of mayonnaise on one side of a slice of toasted bread. Layer on the crispy lettuce followed by the cooked bacon, diced turkey, and ham. Stack on your choice of cheese, next add the tomato slices, and finish with another slice of toasted bread spread with mayonnaise.
- Once the sandwich is fully assembled, press down gently to compress the layers. Use a sharp knife to cut the sandwich into quarters diagonally. Serve your Crispy Ultimate Club Sandwich immediately.

Notes
For maximum freshness, reassemble fresh ingredients like lettuce and tomato just before serving. Avoid cutting until just before serving to maintain crunch.
