- Begin by washing your fresh cucumber and ripe cantaloupe thoroughly. Slice the cucumber into small pieces, about 1-inch in size. Cut the cantaloupe in half, scoop out the seeds, and dice it into similarly sized chunks.
- In a blender, combine the diced cantaloupe and cucumber. Blend on high for about 30-45 seconds, or until the mixture achieves a smooth, creamy consistency.
- Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher. Use a spatula to push the liquid through, leaving behind any pulp.
- Stir in freshly squeezed lime juice to the pitcher. Start with about one tablespoon, and mix well, tasting as you go.
- Fill clear glasses with ice cubes. Pour the silky mixture over the ice, filling each glass about three-quarters full.
- Top each glass with sparkling water or club soda, pouring slowly to maintain the bubbles.
