Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Prepare your springform pan with grease or parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking powder. Whisk until airy.
  3. Add butter to the dry ingredients and knead until coarse crumbs form.
  4. Incorporate the eggs and mix until the dough comes together without overmixing.
  5. Fold in the ground poppy seeds until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer the dough to a prepared springform pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown and a skewer comes out clean.

  9. Prepare the quark cream by whisking quark, milk, vanilla sugar, and lemon zest until smooth.
  10. Prepare the plant-based gelatin as per package instructions and fold it into the quark mixture.
  11. Spread the quark cream over the cooled cake and chill for at least 2 hours.
