  • 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme Can swap with rosemary for a different flavor.
For the Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Crushed Walnuts Substitute with pecans for a sweeter flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Honey Drizzle Use maple syrup as a vegan alternative if desired.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick.
  2. Cut the puff pastry into squares, approximately 3x3 inches, and press each into a greased muffin tin.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine goat cheese and fig jam until smooth and spreadable.
  4. Spoon equal amounts of the goat cheese and fig mixture into each pastry cup, filling about three-quarters full.
  5. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves and crushed walnuts over the tops of the filled tartlets.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and flaky. Watch closely to prevent over-browning.
  7. Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle honey before serving warm or at room temperature.
