Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut the puff pastry into squares, approximately 3x3 inches, and press each into a greased muffin tin.
- In a mixing bowl, combine goat cheese and fig jam until smooth and spreadable.
- Spoon equal amounts of the goat cheese and fig mixture into each pastry cup, filling about three-quarters full.
- Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves and crushed walnuts over the tops of the filled tartlets.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and flaky. Watch closely to prevent over-browning.
- Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle honey before serving warm or at room temperature.
