  • 2 cups fresh ripe pineapple peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries sliced, green tops removed
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 juice lime for added acidity

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by peeling and chopping 2 cups of fresh ripe pineapple into chunks and slicing 2 cups of fresh strawberries. Place both into a high-speed blender and add 2 cups of cold water. Blend on high for about 30 seconds until smooth.
  2. Set a fine mesh sieve over a large pitcher and pour the blended mixture through it, pressing with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible.
  3. Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water, stir in granulated sugar to taste, and add the juice of one lime. Mix well until the sugar fully dissolves.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary, adding more sugar gradually if desired.
  5. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
  6. Serve over ice cubes, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired.
