- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the unsalted butter and dark chocolate together in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and both sugars for about 2–3 minutes until smooth and glossy.
- Fold in the melted chocolate and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually sift in the flour and fold until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan, followed by dollops of salted caramel sauce.
- Add the remaining brownie batter over the caramel, then swirl it gently with a knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top as soon as you remove the brownies from the oven.
- Let the brownies cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a cutting board and slicing.
