Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Fill a large pot with water, add salt, and bring to a boil.
  2. Add broccoli florets to boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then drain and reserve 1/2 cup water.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil, and sauté garlic with red pepper flakes until fragrant.
  4. Add blanched broccoli and reserved pasta water, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  6. Combine pasta with the broccoli mixture and stir in grated Parmesan until melted.
  7. Serve immediately, optionally with more Parmesan and alongside a salad or garlic bread.
