Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash the strawberries under cool water, hull them, and pat them dry. If desired, slice them into rounds or shapes.
  2. Whip the cream cheese in a mixing bowl on high speed until fluffy and smooth.
  3. Gradually add the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar to the whipped cream cheese and whip until stiff peaks form.
  4. Spread the cream filling across each slice of bread.
  5. Layer the strawberry slices on half of the cream-covered slices.
  6. Top with the remaining slices of bread and lightly score the tops for cutting later.
  7. Wrap each sandwich tightly in plastic wrap and place a lightweight object on top.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
  9. After chilling, unwrap and trim the edges of the sandwiches before cutting into shapes.
