Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Easy Mongolian Beef
  1. Prep Ingredients: Slice beef steak against the grain, chop onion and bell pepper, grate ginger and garlic, slice green onions.
  2. Marinate Beef: Combine sliced beef with soy sauce, sesame oil, Shaoxing wine, garlic, ginger, and cold water; marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Coat Beef: Sprinkle cornstarch over marinated beef and mix well. Drizzle oil and toss to coat.
  4. Prepare Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, honey, cornstarch, sesame oil, and cold water; set aside.
  5. Cook Beef: Heat oil in skillet; fry beef strips in batches for 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Set aside.
