Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and gently pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine olive oil and taco seasoning, stirring until well mixed. Coat the chicken breasts evenly in this mixture.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Use two forks to shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Warm each tortilla in the same skillet over low heat for about 30 seconds on each side.
  6. Fill a warmed tortilla with the shredded chicken and desired toppings like shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
  7. Drizzle sour cream and squeeze fresh lime juice over the tacos before serving.
  8. Serve the chicken tacos immediately while warm.
