Method
 

Cupcake Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with liners. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, mix eggs, milk and oil. Gradually combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients, stirring gently until just blended.
  3. Spoon batter into cupcake liners, filling them two-thirds full. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes clean. Cool for 5 minutes in the tin, then transfer to a wire rack.
Frosting Preparation
  1. Prepare frosting by beating butter and powdered sugar until fluffy. Gradually add cream and vanilla, beating until smooth. Mix in food coloring until desired hue is achieved.
Cupcake Decoration
  1. Frost cooled cupcakes generously with black frosting, creating swirls for decoration. Top with bat decorations and sprinkles.
