Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together 4 eggs, 1 cup of half-and-half, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Slice each King’s Hawaiian roll in half and poke holes in the cut sides. Dip each half in the egg mixture for about 30 seconds on each side.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until melted. Place soaked rolls cut side down in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Gently flip each roll and cook for another 3-4 minutes until crispy. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
  5. If cooking more, add more butter and repeat the soaking and cooking process, ensuring each piece cooks evenly.
