Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté onions until translucent.
  3. Increase heat and brown braising steak and lamb kidney in the skillet for 8-10 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour over meat and onions, stirring constantly for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in beef stock and Worcestershire sauce, simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Pour the filling into a pie dish, ensuring an even layer.
  7. Roll out puff pastry to cover the pie dish, sealing the edges.
  8. Brush pastry with beaten egg and yolk, then bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let the pie rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  10. Serve hot with mashed potatoes and green peas.
