  • 4 cups filtered water for brewing hibiscus tea
  • 4 bags hibiscus tea bags alternatively, use ¼ cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1-2 cups strawberries fresh, can use frozen
  • 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed, adjust to taste
  • 2-4 tablespoons maple syrup natural sweetener, adjust to preference

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by bringing 4 cups of filtered water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and add the hibiscus tea bags or dried hibiscus flowers. Let steep for 5-7 minutes.
  2. While the tea cools, wash and slice 1-2 cups of strawberries. Blend them until smooth and creamy. Add maple syrup if desired.
  3. In a pitcher, combine the cooled hibiscus tea with the strawberry puree. Squeeze in the lemon juice and add maple syrup to taste. Stir well.
  4. Serve over ice, garnished with sliced strawberries, lemon slices, and fresh mint leaves.

Notes
