Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by boiling 2 cups of water in a kettle or saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add 2 black tea bags or 2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea. Let steep for about 10 minutes. Remove tea bags or strain loose leaf tea into a pitcher.
  2. In a saucepan, add 2 cups of diced ripe mango or frozen mango cubes and the remaining 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a gentle simmer. Mash the mango until it becomes a puree and cook for about 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to separate the puree from the solid pieces. Pour the strained mango juice into the pitcher with brewed tea. Add 2 tablespoons of honey and stir well until dissolved.
  4. Allow the iced tea to cool to room temperature. Fill glasses with ice and pour the cooled tea over the ice. Garnish with additional mango slices and enjoy!
