  • 1/2 cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Pecan Halves
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans Can substitute with walnuts.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Heat the whole milk in a saucepan until it’s almost boiling; mix in the very soft unsalted butter.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool to 115-120°F before adding flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and egg. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour.
  5. Mix the light brown sugar, spices, and very soft butter in a bowl to prepare the filling.
  6. Once risen, roll the dough into a 16 x 9-inch rectangle and spread the filling evenly.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 equal pieces. Arrange in the baking dish.
  8. Cover the shaped buns and let them rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  10. Bake for 18–20 minutes until lightly browned.
  11. Melt unsalted butter in a saucepan, add dark brown sugar, then whisk in heavy cream and pecans to prepare the topping.
  12. Pour the topping over the warm buns and serve immediately.
