  • 0.5 teaspoon Ginger (grated) Fresh ginger is recommended for the best taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil Substitute with olive oil for a different flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce Opt for tamari to make it gluten-free.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper (freshly ground)
For the Buns
  • 4 pieces Brioche Hamburger Buns (toasted) Consider using whole wheat buns for a healthier alternative.
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Korean BBQ Sauce Adds signature sweetness and spiciness.
  • 1 cup Chili Garlic Mayo A creamy condiment that complements the burger.
  • 1 cup Kimchi Slaw Provides a crunchy and tangy balance.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, lightly break up the ground beef, then add minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, soy sauce, and black pepper. Gently mix until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four portions, shaping each into a 6-ounce patty. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the cast-iron skillet or grill over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the chilled patties on the hot skillet or grill. Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side until browned, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Once cooked, remove the patties and coat each with Korean BBQ sauce. Let rest for about 5 minutes.
  6. Spread chili garlic mayo on the toasted brioche buns. Place a glazed burger patty on each bun, topped with kimchi slaw, and assemble.
