Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the brownie base by mixing the German chocolate cake mix, 6 oz of evaporated milk, and melted salted butter until just combined.
  2. Create the caramel layer by melting unwrapped caramels with the remaining 6 oz of evaporated milk in a saucepan over low heat.
  3. Assemble the brownies by spreading two-thirds of the brownie batter into a greased baking pan and pouring the caramel layer over it.
  4. Add Snickers, chopped pecans, and semisweet chocolate chips over the caramel, pressing them gently down.
  5. Bake the pan in the oven for 25-30 minutes until edges are set; sprinkle milk chocolate chips on top after removing from the oven.
