Ingredients
  

For the Marinade
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce substitute with tamari for gluten-free
  • 0.25 cup honey use maple syrup for vegan alternative
  • 3 cloves garlic fresh minced is preferable
  • 0.25 cup apple cider vinegar lemon juice can substitute
  • 0.25 cup olive oil can replace with avocado oil
  • 1 pinch black pepper adjust to taste

  • 2-3 pounds chicken pieces breasts, thighs, or drumsticks

Method
 

Directions
  1. In a large ziplock bag, mix together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, and black pepper.
  2. Place chicken pieces into the marinade bag, seal carefully, and massage the marinade into the chicken.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (375°F - 450°F).
  5. Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off, and grill each piece for 6-8 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
