  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Use Tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar Honey or maple syrup can be used
  • 2 cloves Garlic Freshly minced is best
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Use red pepper flakes or sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil Use sparingly
For the Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions Chopped

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Start by boiling water in a medium saucepan and add the fresh eggs, cooking for exactly 6 minutes.
  2. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to stop the cooking process for about 5–10 minutes.
  3. Crack and peel the cooled eggs under running water.
  4. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, chili, and sesame oil in a mixing bowl until blended.
  5. Place peeled eggs in an airtight container and pour the marinade over them. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
  6. Serve the eggs halved, garnished with green onions and optional chili oil.
