Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by boiling 2 cups of water in a medium-sized saucepan over medium-high heat. Once boiling, add 2 tablespoons of dried lavender flowers. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- After simmering, remove the saucepan from heat and cover it to let the lavender steep for 15 to 20 minutes until the water has deepened to a light purple hue.
- Take a fine mesh strainer and strain the lavender water into a pitcher. Discard the leftover lavender flowers.
- In the pitcher with lavender water, add 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and ½ cup of sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves in the warm liquid.
- Pour in the remaining 2 cups of cold water to dilute the mixture. Stir again and serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices.

Notes
Adjust sugar to taste; add more for sweetness or less for tang. For a fizzy drink, consider using club soda instead of some water.
