  • 2 cups Instant rice Can be replaced with precooked long-grain rice.
  • 1 can Cream of chicken soup Substitute with cream of mushroom soup if desired.
  • 1 cup Water Ensure proper measurement for right texture.
  • 1/4 cup Butter Can use olive oil as a lighter substitute.
  • Salt and pepper Adjust according to taste.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C) and set an oven rack to the middle position.
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  3. Arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer at the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine instant rice, cream of chicken soup, salt, pepper, and water. Stir until well combined.
  5. Pour the rice and soup mixture over the chicken in the baking dish.
  6. Distribute small pads of butter evenly over the top of the rice and chicken mixture.
  7. Bake uncovered for 60–75 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  8. Allow the casserole to cool for approximately 15 minutes before serving.
