  2. Roll the mixture into 48 evenly sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a lined shallow pan.
  3. Chill the formed Oreo balls in the freezer for at least 20 minutes.
  4. Melt 16 oz of vanilla candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
  5. Dip each firm ball into the melted coating and let excess drip off before placing back on the lined tray.
  6. Allow the coating to pool slightly at the bottom, then chill for 30 minutes until set.
  7. Use melted coating to attach mini Oreo cookies as hats, and decorate with icing and sprinkles.
