Preparation Steps
- Start by rolling out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangular shape, approximately 12x16 inches.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a splash of oil. Sear the beef steak for about 4-5 minutes per side until browned.
- Using the same skillet, sauté the sliced bell peppers and onions on medium heat for about 4-5 minutes until soft.
- Lay the rolled-out pizza dough onto a lined baking sheet and layer the sliced steak, sautéed vegetables, and mozzarella cheese.
- Carefully roll the dough from one end to the other, pinching the ends tightly to seal.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and brush the top of the stromboli with an egg wash before baking for 25-30 minutes.
- Once baked, let the Stromboli cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before slicing.
