Ingredients

For the Peach Syrup
  • 1 cup Sugar Feel free to substitute with honey for a lighter touch.
  • 1 cup Water Essential base for your syrup and tea.
  • 2 cups Fresh Peaches Frozen peaches can work in a pinch.
For the Tea
  • 3 bags Tea Bags (Black Tea) You can use herbal or green teas instead.

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth
  • Large pitcher
  • Pot

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Easy Peach Tea
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar, and approximately 2 cups of sliced fresh peaches over medium heat. Stir gently, pressing down on the peaches to release their juices. Continue stirring until the sugar fully dissolves, allowing the mixture to simmer for about 30 minutes until it thickens slightly and the peaches soften.
  2. Once the peach mixture has simmered, remove it from heat and let it cool for a few minutes. Carefully strain the syrup into a bowl or jar, discarding the solid peach pieces.
  3. In a separate pot, bring 6 cups of water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and add 3 tea bags of black tea, allowing it to steep for about 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let the brewed tea cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
  4. Once the brewed tea has cooled completely, mix in your strained peach syrup in a large pitcher. Stir gently to incorporate the syrup evenly into the tea.
  5. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate the Easy Peach Tea for at least 24 hours. When ready to serve, pour the tea over ice in tall glasses and garnish with fresh peach slices or mint leaves.
