Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk with yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add eggs, melted butter, and flour, then mix until well combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. While the dough is rising, prepare the apple filling by peeling and dicing the apples and cooking them with sugar and cinnamon for about 10 minutes.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently and roll it out into a large rectangle.
  7. Spread an even layer of brown sugar filling, followed by the cooled apple pie filling, and sprinkle with toasted pecans.
  8. Carefully roll the dough tightly from one edge, forming a log, and pinch the seam to seal it before slicing into even pieces.
  9. Place the sliced rolls into a well-greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffy.
  10. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) to prepare for baking.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top and the internal temperature reaches 90°C (190°F).
  12. While the rolls are cooling slightly, make your cream cheese frosting by beating cream cheese and butter until smooth and mixing in powdered sugar until desired sweetness is reached.
  13. Once the rolls have cooled for about 10 minutes, spread the frosting generously on top.
