Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

  3. Gradually mix in the flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
  4. Refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thick and cut out spider shapes.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are slightly golden and allow to cool completely.
  8. Spread a layer of chocolate frosting on each cookie.
  9. Add food coloring for a spooky look and decorate with licorice legs and candy eyes.
